Coordinated Development of Higher Vocational Education in Japan During Social Transformation and Enlightenments

Abstract: Adapting itself to the development of social economy and culture and education, Japan’s higher vocational education gradually formed a vocational education system with clear functional positioning, perfect hierarchical structure and crisscrossing. All kinds of higher vocational schools respond to the different occupational needs of the society and implement diversified functions and division of labor, highlighting the characteristics of running schools with different functions and complementary advantages. Both the professional courses and the training objectives became an integrated organic with a complementary and coordinated development.
