Under the postwar constitutional system, Japanese Emperor deals with a series of state affairs according to congressional resolutions as a symbolic image. The socalled “international goodwill” diplomacy activity is an important constituent part of numerous state affairs while the “condolence diplomacy” is a new paradigm in the Emperor’s diplomatic activities. This kind of diplomatic paradigm is not only closely related to Japan’s historical culture, but also reflecting the trends of Japan’s foreign strategies and domestic political ecology. In order to provide a new perspective to understand more about the Japan’s symbolic Emperor system, Japan’s attitude towards aggressive wars and strategic intentions of diplomacy, a study on the historical origin and development, purpose, target selection, the relationship with rightwing forces and other issues about Japanese Emperor’s condolence diplomacy paradigm will be done in this paper.

Since the end of cold war, Japan has used the Tokyo International Conference on African Development as the pillar, and economic aid as main instrument, to strengthen the economic diplomacy toward Africa continuously. Especially in recent years, Japan emphasized ODA and private sector investment in parallel, and encouraged a further shift from aid to investment in Africa, aiming to speed up the capture of African market.By boosting economic ties, Japan intended to promote political and security cooperation for improved presence and discourse power in African continent and even in international community.The stance to counterbalance China politically and economically become quite significant. A review of the evolution and possible trends of Japan’s economic diplomacy toward Africa is helpful for us to clarify Japan’s role in our African strategy, and to respond more actively.

New religion groups emerged in large numbers during the social turmoil from the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period and the social movement of 1920s. The characteristics of new religion group are as following, the founder is sickened or common social people are with an unfortunate family, the group would develop their believers energeticallyand ask for real interest,the organization is perfect, etc. At first, their doctrines were in contradiction with the government policy and national ideology, therefore the new religion was often banned or suppressed by the government. The new religion groups gradually revised their doctrine and began to support the government’s aggressive and expansive policy in order to developthemselves.

As one of the most influential figures in modern history of Japanese thoughts, Watsuji Tetsuro(1889-1960) received extensive attention in academical circlerecently. The article focuses on his conversion to the Orient from the perspective of Buddhism arts. Besides the external stimulus including his personal character and experiences, the cultural thoughts extended from the Buddhism arts in the context of current thoughts has the internal meaning. By analyzing Wastuji’s change of thoughts during the pilgrim’s journey in Nara, the article makes an attempt to study how the Buddhism elements moved him from the west research to the orient history and culture decisively.

In the Period of Meiji, Japanese education experienced the collision and integration process of diverse educational concepts from Europeanism, traditionalism to nationalism.The issue of Imperial Rescript on Education in 1890 is considered as the symbol of the establishment of Japanese educational core concept“faith and filial piety”. The transitional process of educational thoughts is also a reflection of the development of the domestic thoughts in politics. This article shows detailed analysis of the educational concepts in different phases in the Period of Meiji and the educational system under different educational concepts. By the indepth study, this article not only presents the integration process of Japanese various ideological and cultural collisions between tradition and modernity, the east and west during the transforming period from a traditional country to a modern country, but also introduces the influences of the combination of different ideology and political power on Japanese modern development.

The effectiveness of patent infringement relief depends largely on the judicial judgment of the amount calculation of patent infringement damage compensation. On this issue, Japan has formed a more appropriate institutional framework from substantive law to procedural law through twentyyear developmentafter the revision of the patent law and provided scientific evaluation criteria in encouraging innovation and restraining infringement. More importantly, from concept it broke through the shackle of traditional tort law taking“damage to fill” as the sole function, explored the best possible future inhibition of possible infringementthrough the damage compensation system, a variety of damages calculation methods,including the actual loss of obligees, the infringers’profits, and reasonable multiples of the license fees, areunified tocurb infringement system purposes.
