摘要: 和辻哲郎(1889-1960)是日本近现代思想史上一位具有重要影响力的代表性学者,日益引起学界重视。笔者着力从佛教艺术的角度来考察佛教对和辻哲郎的东方文化转向所产生的影响。其中,除了个体性格和经历体验等外部刺激之外,由佛教艺术延伸出来的文化思考在时代思潮的推动下具有内向性意义。通过分析和辻哲郎在奈良巡礼前后的思想演变,试图探讨佛教因素是如何促使他从西学研究决然地转向了东方历史与文化的研究。

Abstract: As one of the most influential figures in modern history of Japanese thoughts, Watsuji Tetsuro(1889-1960) received extensive attention in academical circlerecently. The article focuses on his conversion to the Orient from the perspective of Buddhism arts. Besides the external stimulus including his personal character and experiences, the cultural thoughts extended from the Buddhism arts in the context of current thoughts has the internal meaning. By analyzing Wastuji’s change of thoughts during the pilgrim’s journey in Nara, the article makes an attempt to study how the Buddhism elements moved him from the west research to the orient history and culture decisively.
