Cultural Interpretation of Otomonotabito’s Praise Wine Song——Comparison with Li Bai’s Wine Poems

Abstract: Otomonotabito was famous waka representative at Nara period.Based on the interpretation of his Praise Wine Song in configuration,poetic language,theme,this paper thinks Praise Wine Song is not simply involved with the words quoted from Chinese classics.Songs related not only reflect the yearning and longing towards “Bamboo Forest”,but also represent the Chinese traditional culture in Buddhist,Confucian ethics,Taoist thoughts and so on.Comparing the Praise Wine Song and Li Bai’s wine poems,it is found that they have ideological and cultural homology,and also have dissimilarity on the emotional expression.The reason for this difference is the social status and background.
