Abstract: Japan is a large country using nuclear power, but the use of nuclear power does not go very well. Japan suffered Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in 2011. Now our country is thinking about making Nuclear Safety Law, the public are certainly concerned about the new situation of Japanese nuclear energy legislation, especiallyhow to protect nuclear energy safety and how to compensate nuclear damage after Fukushima accident. This paper introduces systematically the current situation of nuclear energy legislation in Japan, and tries to summarize some useful enlightenmentsfrom Nuclear Safety Law (draft).
