Abstract

Abstract: Based on the time serial data from 2000 to 2014, the paper analyzed the competitiveness of service trade between China and Japan with the Net Export Revealed Comparative Advantage Index, and studied the influence factors on competitiveness of service trade between China and Japan with the PLS model. Results showed that there were many similarities in total quantity and structure, but notable differences in its competitiveness and its influence factors in China and Japan. The overall competitiveness of service trade in Japan was better than that in China. Therefore, it’s important for China’s service trade to draw lessons from the development strategy of Japan’s service trade.
